NY BRIDAL MARKET: Anne Barge Spring 2012

Posted by Sarah Sweetz Akhza On 6:44 PM 1 comments
Hello Bridal Lovelies,

I am back from NY Bridal Market with some fab pictures and bridal news on some amazing new designers and collections. It was a little quiet this Market as folks are gearing up for October's Market. But I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

So without further adieu...

Anne Bowen Spring 2012

Anne Bowen is always a must see collection during Bridal Market. I can always count on Anne Bowen to create a collection that every bride wants to wear. Her designs were perfect for the flower child bride or the risque bride or for the uptown girl who must have the bling.

For the Flower Child Bride, you would definitely love the "Janis" or "Peace" or "Wild Flowers." All of these gowns have lace elements which give it that "Woodstock/flowers in your hair/walking in your bare feet" feel.

For the Risque Bride, you would swoon over "The Morgan" or "Generation" or "Mortimer." You are not afraid to show off your gorgeous legs.

For the Uptown Girl, your choices are obvious - "Rockefeller" or "Hudson" or "DeNiro." These gowns will definitely make jaws drop.

From my very precarious seating, I was able to choose a favorite. My absolute favorite was the "Rockefeller." You have to see it up close to fully understand how gorgeous it really is. As you know, these gowns are not available yet. So you are in luck if you are a 2012 bride.

As luck would have it, I was very sick the day of their runway show and was unable to attend. I was not a happy camper. But bridal lovelies, you do not have to suffer for my misfortune. Enjoy the Spring 2011 runway shows of Henry and Michelle Roth.

I am not one to wear tights except for in the winter. But if you are looking to wear a fabulous hosiery under your gown (you know for when you pull up your dress so that your groom can grab your garter), you can have on a gorgeous pair of tights. Get a pair at Plasticland.
