Beautiful wedding dresses lined the hallways leading into the main vendor area. One dress in particular caught my attention. This drop-dead gorgeous dress by Vanilla Pink Bespoke Bridal. I was floored. So of course, I had to further investigate. See my Bridal Market Spotlight on their fab handmade wedding dresses.
There were vendors galore. Everything that you could imagine to help you plan your wedding. From tabletop decor to cakes and treats to limousine service to travel agents - all the best New York vendors were there.
One vendor offered something very unique - artistic entertainment installations. Hmmmm - the word human should be in that phrase somewhere. Ten 31 Productions offers human statues for your guests viewing pleasure. Sure to make folks stop in their tracks.
There were cake vendors like Yardie Treats with this cute and unique diagonal cake treat with the most adorable design.
I also love the bling of La Bella Vita Designs table. It would be so perfect for a bachelorette party or bridal shower.
But my favorite, favorite always at bridal shows are the amazing tabletop designs. I love to see just how creative event/floral designers can be. I was not disappointed. Creativity was abound. There were luxurious linens that adorned the tables and sumptuous china, stemware and glassware highlighted by breathtaking floral arrangements.
Big is Back this Season with over-the-top towering table displays created with branches, moss and garlands of orchids. The Wedding Salon was lit up with 15 ft high Inflatable Bouquets of Roses and Sky-High Cherry Blossom Branches. Cascading chandelier table tops dripping with crystal, proved that height will be the biggest trend for Summer 2010.
Another key trend seen at The Wedding Salon was Candles, Crystals and the combination of the two. Elaborate and Simple table displays alike were accented by numerous tea-light votives, hanging candles and floating candles while crystals lit up the dance floor. As for colors? The common thread at The Wedding Salon was earth-based tones of Greens and Browns on chiffon table linens and napkins, accented with Gold Charger Plates and Goblets.
The highlight of this event was definitely the bridal fashion show. The wedding dress is one of the biggest decisions that a bride makes while planning her wedding. So brides love to watch the latest and greatest stroll down the runway so that they can hit the bridal salons looking to try on what could be the dress of their dreams.
Closing out The Wedding Salon and Bridal Market were renowned designers, Ines Di Santo, David Tutera by Faviana, Marina K Couture and Stephen Yearick with a couture bridal fashion show produced by Bridal Reflections. This fashion show gave New York brides a never-before seen look at the hottest gowns for Fall 2010. Ines Di Santo showed that the biggest trend for Fall will be the ultra-feminine gown. Complete with floral embellishments, voluminous ball gowns and flirty silhouettes, Ines encourages each bride to embrace her femininity on her big day.
